Ken Drake – Judge for Rangefinder Magazine
I’m feeling really honoured! I have been invited to be a judge in the upcoming Best Friends Animal Photo Contest, run by Rangefinder Magazine in the US!
This is the first time I have been asked to be a judge in a photography competition, and I am really excited to be a part of it. The only downside is that it means I can’t enter this competition myself! If you enjoy taking animal photos, I would really encourage you to enter. Entering competitions is a great way to improve your photography, and this one is definitely one of the best. You don’t have to be a professional photographer, anyone can enter, and you get to keep copyright on your photos you enter. Go to Best Friends Photo Contest and you have until the 12th June (recently extended). All winners will see their photo published in Rangefinder Magazine.
Rangefinder Magazine is one of the most popular US photography magazines, with one of the widest distributions, and is the official magazine of the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, kind of the USA version of our own Australian Institute of Professional Photography). Unusually for a photography magazine, it is available for free on your iPad, just search for it in the Newstand app store. We are published in the latest May edition, as a result of our recent wins in the huge WPPI Photography Competition held earlier this year. Cheers Ken – Zoo Studio Photographer
