When and where do your pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sions take place?

Our pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sions take place in our purpose-built stu­dio based in Chapel Hill, Bris­bane. Appoint­ments are avail­able from Mon­day to Sat­ur­day, start­ing from 9 am.

Why do you use a stu­dio envi­ron­ment for pho­tograph­ing my pets?

There are many advan­tages to pho­tograph­ing in a stu­dio environment.

  • Your pet is 100% secure in our pho­tog­ra­phy studio.
  • There are no other strange ani­mals or peo­ple about to dis­tract your pet dur­ing the session.
  • The ‘weather’ in the stu­dio is per­fect all year round, pro­vid­ing flex­i­ble times and dates that suit your needs.
  • We have 100% con­trol over the light. Pho­tog­ra­phy is ALL about light (the word lit­er­ally means “paint­ing with light”). Stu­dio light­ing gives us full cre­ative con­trol for our unique ani­mal art pho­tog­ra­phy style.
  • Your pet’s per­son­al­ity and char­ac­ter can really shine through. In the stu­dio he/she can be fully relaxed, like they are at home.

How many ani­mals can I bring along to my pho­tog­ra­phy shoot?

We gen­er­ally work with up to two dogs OR two cats in each stu­dio ses­sion. No extra fees apply, as long as these pets are from the same ‘fam­ily’. Oth­er­wise, we would rec­om­mend two sep­a­rate ses­sions to ensure that we get the very best from your pets and max­imise their photo opportunities.

My dog is not the most obe­di­ent. She’s too ener­getic and unruly and doesn’t know sit-stay … OR … My dog is shy … OR … My dog does not like other peo­ple … will you cap­ture good photos?

Absolutely. We don’t just pho­to­graph dogs: we know dogs, have owned dogs all our lives and have worked with many dif­fer­ent per­son­al­i­ties (and the same goes for cats!). Some­time it takes a bit more patience and per­se­ver­ance but we always get there in the end. We know you will be sur­prised and delighted with the results. And don’t for­get this is all about cap­tur­ing their personalities!

How long does the pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sion last and what hap­pens dur­ing the session?

The pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sion lasts between one and two hours. We allo­cate plenty of time, to allow us to get to know your pet and to ensure your pet has the chance to set­tle into the stu­dio. For the first 10–15 min­utes we let them explore the stu­dio, sniff around, and get used to the light­ing and cam­era. It can be an excit­ing place!

We also like to get you, their ‘Mum’ or ‘Dad’, involved with assist­ing in the pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sion. We like you to help us attract their atten­tion for the cam­era and light­ing. It’s loads of fun and we always get some fan­tas­tic pho­tos. After all, we do spe­cialise in this field of pho­tog­ra­phy, and we have quite a few tricks up our sleeves to cap­ture the per­fect shot!

My dog/cat is ill and has lit­tle time left. Can you fit him/her into your shoot­ing sched­ule quickly?

Absolutely! Older cats and dogs or pets with failing-health take pri­or­ity. Your mem­o­ries of your dog or cat are our priority.

What pay­ment options are available?

We accept pay­ment via VISA, Mas­ter­Card or EFTPOS. We also offer a Lay-By option, avail­able upon request.

Do you only pho­to­graph dogs and cats, or do you pho­to­graph other ani­mals too?

We pho­to­graph all ani­mals! Dogs and cats are our spe­cial­i­ties, but we also pho­to­graph fer­rets, birds, rats, guinea pigs, horses, lizards, snakes, goats. Please call us to dis­cuss your pet fam­ily requirements!

Can I be in the photo too?

Def­i­nitely! We fre­quently pho­to­graph peo­ple with their pets, and love to cap­ture this unique and spe­cial bond. This already included in your stu­dio ses­sion fee. Please let us know if you wish to be in the pho­tos when book­ing in your ses­sion as this is impor­tant infor­ma­tion for our preparation.

Can I pur­chase a pho­tog­ra­phy ses­sion for a friend as a gift?

Absolutely. When you call to book, just let know us you wish to pur­chase a stu­dio ses­sion as a gift. We will pro­vide you with a beau­ti­fully wrapped gift voucher to give your friend on their spe­cial day or for Christmas.

Gift vouch­ers are valid for 12 months.
