Giving Back

Giving back, working with animal charities and other great organisations that support and help the welfare of our four-legged friends is very important to Zoo Studio. We have three rescue cats and a rescue dog ourselves and they are truly the BEST pets in the world. We are so happy we were able to provide them with a loving home, and yes they get spoilt rotten!

Zoo Studio proudly works with a number of  wonderful charities and organisations focused on the welfare of our Animals across Australia.  We support these organisations in many ways including: photographic support, creating & promoting fund-raising campaigns, cash donations, attending events and donating gift voucher prizes.

Official Corporate Photography Partner for RSPCA QLD

Zoo Studio is proudly recognised as RSPCA QLD’s Official Photography Partner. Throughout the year, Zoo Studio is actively involved with the RSPCA QLD in a number of key events, in order to help raise much needed funds. These include the Million Paws Walk, Santa Paws, the Montville Food and Wine Evening, the RSCPA Gala Ball, and RSPCA Awareness Week.

All our photography services are pro-bono and all proceeds from the sale of photos at Million Paws Walk and Santa Paws go directly to the RSPCA. Throughout the year we help to raise over $20,000 and we also contribute more than $95,000 in corporate photography services and images each year. The RSPCA is a wonderful organisation, and the people who work there are amazing individuals who all contribute so much to the welfare of our animal kingdom.

“RSPCA Qld has had the pleasure of working with Zoo Studio for over eighteen months. During this time Ken has photographed all creatures great and small from Great Dane’s to Guinea Pigs, as well as an array of wildlife and birds including Snakes, Turtles and Owls. The professionalism and patience of Ken is flawless. He not only helps the animals to feel at ease, he helps to bring out their unique behaviours, poses and personalities, resulting in exquisite images that capture the true heart, soul and beauty of the animal.

On behalf of the staff, volunteers and animals at RSPCA Qld, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Zoo Studio, whose creativity and continued support enables us to better promote both the inner and outer beauty of man’s best friend. Of all of our friends.” — Sue Gilbert, Director for Fundraising, Marketing and Communications RSPCA QLD

Little Paws Kitten Rescue

The Little Paws Kitten Rescue Association is a caring team of people throughout Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Ipswich and the Downs areas that help little orphaned, older kittens and mamma cats that need TLC.   They have also rescued a number of severely abused cats and cared for them until they are well enough to be placed in a new home.

Their goal is to help as many kittens and cats as possible to find loving secure homes so that they can have peace and contentment throughout their lives and we aim to teach the public about the responsible ownership of cats and kittens.

Zoo Studio has been supporting Little Paws Kitten Rescue with fundraising activities, events and beautiful photography since early 2010 and have donated over $7,500 in products and services to help raise much needed funds!

HeARTs Speak

A compelling photograph can reach into the heart of a potential adopter, and bring an animal one step closer to a long-life outside of a shelter. HeARTs Speak is an international organization founded in the USA which promotes animal adoption by connecting artists with shelters and animal relief organizations worldwide. Through the services of it’s professional photographer members volunteering their time, HeARTs Speaks hopes to increase the number of animals adopted and reduce the numbers that are euthanizedand ultimately, to save and better the lives of animals and people.  Zoo Studio are proud to be a professional service member for HeARTs Speak.

Guide Dogs QLD

Established in 1960, Guide Dogs Queensland helps to equip, empower and educate Queenslanders who are blind or vision impaired, of all ages, with a range of orientation and mobility services.

With less than seven per cent Government funding for some specific rehabilitation services, and none for their Guide Dogs, they rely on the generosity of individuals, puppy sponsors, corporate support and people who leave a bequest in their Will to fund our vital work.

Zoo Studio has been supporting Guide Dogs QLD since October 2010 providing fundraising prizes and raffle donations and we also collaborate with them to provide photography images for Guide Dogs QLD campaigns.

Peiradise — Paradise for Shar Pei

Peiradise — Paradise for Rescued Shar Pei was formed to save Shar Pei in pounds or shelters. Shar Pei are an ancient breed who were bred as guard dogs and who rely on human interaction so the the breed do not cope well in shelter environments.  They accept dogs who are Shar Pei cross and now also accept dogs surrendered directly from their owners to avoid the stress of the pounds and shelters on the dogs. Their aim is to have shelters and pounds direct people to us prior to accepting the dogs. This way we have a better change of rehabilitating them and finding them new homes.

Zoo Studio have been working with Peiradise since 2009  using our photography to help support adoption of Shar Pei’s in need of a new forever home.
